The Sixers have the worst losing streak in the history the NBA

The Houston Rockets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 116-114 and now the Sixers have achieved one the most negative records in the history of NBA and professional sports in the US.
If The Sixers, who are currently 0-17, lose the next game they will equal the worst beginning of season in the history of NBA – their predecessors being the New Jersey Nets in 2009.
On the other hand, the Philadelphia team adds up 27 defeats in a row if we take into account the ones from the last season. This is definitely, the worst losing streak in the history of the NBA and the history of professional sports in the US. The Sixers have outnumbered the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 26 defeats between 1976 and 1877 in the NFL.
